Canadian companies deploy AI and space tech for logistics and food security

Canadian companies are advancing technological applications in supply chain and food security. Loblaw Companies Limited is expanding its partnership with EAIGLE to implement AI-powered gate automation across its distribution centers. Using EAIGLE’s Vision AI and AVAC™ technology, the initiative aims to automate vehicle access control, improve data accuracy, and increase efficiency in yard operations to ensure the reliable movement of goods.

In a separate development, Canadensys Aerospace Corporation is collaborating with The Growcer Inc. on a study for the Canadian Space Agency. The project explores the design of a deployable Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) unit intended to support an Inuit-led initiative to improve food security in Nunavut. Canadensys is applying its expertise in lunar agricultural food production to develop these high-Arctic solutions.
