Maggie Coles-Lyster Claims Silver in Giro d’Italia Women Stage

Maple Ridge‑born cyclist Maggie Coles‑Lyster, 27, finished second in the sixth stage of the Giro d’Italia Women, a 160‑km race from Ala to Brescella in Italy. Riding for the Human Powered Health team, the result gave her first World Tour medal and marked her third podium finish of the 2026 season. The achievement follows a 2025 surgery that corrected blood‑flow limitations in her iliac artery. Earlier in the year she placed second at the GP Mazda Schelkens in Belgium and won the Santos Tour Down Under Women’s One‑Day Race in Australia. Coles‑Lyster praised her teammates, saying the squad’s strong attitude, communication and mutual support helped secure the result.
