Canadian cyclists compete at World Championships in Montreal

At the UCI Road World Championships in Montreal, Canadian cyclist Zachari Moreau finished 52nd in the junior men's road race. Moreau, competing on a familiar course, attempted an attack on Avenue du Parc during the seventh lap but was eventually caught by the peloton.

In the women's under-23 race, Canadian Isabella Holmgren secured a silver medal. The race concluded in a sprint finish where Slovakia's Viktória Chladonová defeated Holmgren to take the title, marking Canada's first medal of the championships in Montreal.
