Canadian destinations offer Scottish-inspired landscapes and architecture

Several locations in Canada are being highlighted for their resemblance to Scottish and European landscapes. In Quebec, the Gaspé Peninsula is noted for its rugged coastlines, rolling green hills, and dramatic cliffs, drawing comparisons to the Scottish Highlands. The region features Forillon National Park, known for its coastal lookouts and pebble beaches, as well as the village of Percé, which is home to the prominent Percé Rock in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

In Ontario, the city of Kingston is described as having a European atmosphere similar to Edinburgh. Known as the “Limestone City,” Kingston features historic cobblestone streets, limestone architecture, and a waterfront setting on Lake Ontario. As Canada’s first capital, the city maintains significant historical landmarks, including Fort Henry and the Kingston Penitentiary.
