Canadian Forces SkyHawks and Snowbirds showcase aerial displays in Saskatchewan

Paramedic Janzen from Rosthern performed with the Canadian Forces SkyHawks parachute demonstration team at an airshow in Moose Jaw. The show was halted when high winds forced a hard landing by another jumper, prompting the team to prioritize safety. Janzen, a reservist with deployments to the Baltics, has logged about 450 jumps and balances her parachuting with a full‑time paramedic role.

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds made an unscheduled stop at the Aviation Museum in Saskatoon, giving hundreds of spectators a chance to see the team’s classic Tutor jets up close. The visit coincided with the Snowbirds’ final season before the aging aircraft are retired, with a replacement fleet expected in the early 2030s. Organisers highlighted the stop as a rare opportunity for locals to meet the pilots and crew before the team’s retirement later this year.
