Canadian hockey fan praises Czech Extraliga arenas during tour
Canadian hockey enthusiast Steve McLean recently completed a ten-day tour of various ice hockey arenas across the Czech Republic. Having visited over 120 arenas in his nearly twenty-year history of traveling, McLean expressed high praise for the atmosphere and views found in Czech venues.
In Pardubice, McLean was particularly impressed by the view from the upper tiers of the Enteria arena during a match between Dynamo Pardubice and Sparta Prague, comparing the seating layout to older arenas in Winnipeg and Quebec. During his travels, he also visited the O2 Arena in Prague for a match between Sparta and Kometa Brno, noting that the experience felt comparable to the NHL.
McLean also took a private tour of the historic Sportovní hala in Holešovice. He expressed deep respect for the venue's history, specifically noting its connection to legendary players like Mario Lemieux. His tour included visits to other cities such as Brno, Třebíč, Litvínov, and Prague, where he observed local hockey culture and unique stadium features.
