Canadian financial firms have released updated investment and asset management reports for August 2026.
Canadian General Investments, Limited (CGI) reported an unaudited net asset value (NAV) per share of $88.50 as of August 31, 2026. The company noted year-to-date NAV returns of 10.9% and 12-month returns of 17.0%, which trailed the S&P/TSX Composite Index returns of 16.0% and 29.9%, respectively. CGI’s portfolio is weighted toward industrials (20.3%), information technology (18.7%), and materials (18.4%), with top holdings including Franco-Nevada Corporation and NVIDIA Corporation.
AGF Management Limited reported total assets under management (AUM) and fee-earning assets of $74.2 billion as of August 31, 2026. This represents a 1.2% decrease from July 2026, but a significant year-over-year increase from $56.8 billion in August 2025. AGF’s total AUM includes $37.5 billion in mutual funds and $13.6 billion through AGF Capital Partners.
