Canadian literary festivals scheduled for November 2026

Two major Canadian literary events are set to take place in November 2026. The Whistler Writers Fest will celebrate its 25th anniversary at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler on November 7. The program includes craft masterclasses, fiction panels, and a workshop on the impact of generative AI in publishing led by Bret Newton. Featured participants include Eve Joseph, Stella Harvey, and Loghan Paylor.

Simultaneously, the 19th annual Fraser Valley Writers Festival will run from November 5 to November 7. Hosted by the University of the Fraser Valley in Abbotsford, the festival features 10 Canadian authors. Keynote speakers include former Minister of Justice Jody Wilson-Raybould and journalist Justin McElroy. The event offers free panels, workshops, and live podcast recordings, with registration required via Eventbrite.
