Canadian miners Power Metallic and Mink Ventures announce new drill results
Power Metallic Mines reported final assay results from its winter 2026 drilling program at the Lion Zone in the Nisk Project, Canada. The data show near‑surface copper‑equivalent grades such as 36.42 m @ 2.83% Cu‑eq and earlier assays of 3.30 m @ 3.98% Cu‑eq. A mineral resource estimate for the Lion Zone and Nisk deposit is slated for the end of July 2026, which will underpin a preliminary economic assessment.
Mink Ventures Corporation completed phase‑two drilling at its Warren Project near Timmins, Ontario, drilling two holes totaling 477 m to test VTEM anomalies for nickel, copper and cobalt. Core logging is finished and samples are being analyzed, with assay results expected by late August. The company plans a phase‑three drill program later this year and a winter access road to support further exploration. Both companies are advancing projects targeting critical base‑metal resources in Ontario.
