Canadian mining firms advance resource expansion through new drilling
Canadian mining companies Signature Resources and Scandium Canada have announced progress in their respective resource expansion efforts.
Signature Resources reported final diamond drill hole assay results from its Lingman Lake Gold deposit in Ontario. The 2025–26 winter drill program, consisting of nine holes totaling 4,006m, supported the continuity of mineralization at depth and validated the current geological model. The company noted that the results help define priority targets for future drilling and highlight undrilled areas that could expand the existing resource.
Scandium Canada has transitioned to a 4,000m resource expansion drill program at its Crater Lake Project in Nunavik, Québec. Following the completion of bulk sample drilling at the TG zone, the company aims to extend the zone’s strike length by at least 200m. The company anticipates the potential to grow the TG zone resource by 20–25% and plans to test targets toward the Discovery Area to potentially extend the mineralized system to 1.5km.
