Canadian mining companies report significant exploration results
Several Canadian mining companies have reported significant progress in their exploration and drilling programs across various provinces.
In Ontario, Cadillac Mines reported new drilling results at its Kerr-Addison property. A standout hole intersected approximately 23 metres grading 3.08 grams of gold per tonne. The company indicated that these results demonstrate mineralization continuity and could support the expansion of its open-pit gold resource. The project is located within the Abitibi Greenstone belt.
In Québec, Midland Exploration has initiated an induced polarisation (IP) survey at its Malaco Mountain project in the Labrador Trough. The program, conducted in partnership with SOQUEM, targets copper, gold, and rare earth elements (REE). Previous reconnaissance work at the site identified high-grade samples, including copper grades reaching up to 31.6%.
Additionally, Selkirk Copper Mines released assay results from its Phase 2 drill program at the Minto copper-gold-silver project. The company reported a high-grade intercept of 13.12% copper equivalent over 1.93 metres. The drilling aims to define mining stope geometry and expand known zones of mineralization.
