Canadian police seize suspects in Regina retail theft and Napanee drug trafficking raids

Police in Regina, Saskatchewan, announced that four individuals were charged after a targeted retail theft operation on June 25, involving shoplifting at three stores on Prince of Wales Drive. The suspects were arrested as they left the premises with unpaid grocery and household items, and one was also charged for probation violation. The Regina Police Service said the arrests are part of its Retail Theft Strategy aimed at reducing shoplifting through coordinated enforcement.

In Napanee, Ontario, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested six people on July 9 following a drug‑trafficking investigation. A search warrant at a Dundas Street residence yielded about 68 grams of suspected fentanyl, morphine tablets and cash. Those charged include Troy Finch, Patricia Smith, Andrew Vankoughnet, Nichole Hillson, Brandi Kennedy and Christopher Roberts for possession of Schedule I opioids and related offenses. Some remain in custody while others were released pending court appearances.
