Canadian resorts and hotels earn top Condé Nast Traveler honors

Several Canadian hospitality properties have earned top rankings in the Condé Nast Traveler 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards. Fairmont Empress in Victoria, British Columbia, was named one of the top three hotels in Western Canada.

In the regional resort categories, Kingfisher Pacific Resort and Spa in Comox Valley secured the number four spot on the Top 15 Resorts list. Klahoose Wilderness Resort in Desolation Sound ranked 14th. Klahoose is noted as the only Indigenous-owned resort included in this year’s Canadian category, providing cultural experiences and wildlife tours within the traditional territory of the Klahoose First Nation.

The awards were determined by a survey of nearly 800,000 readers who rated global travel experiences based on service, design, location, and food and beverage.
