Canadian sports organizations announce board election results

Lacrosse Canada and Wrestling Canada Lutte (WCL) have announced recent leadership and organizational developments following their respective annual general meetings.

Lacrosse Canada has elected Barbara Lockhart as President. Lockhart, who previously served as Interim President, will lead the board alongside re-elected directors Alon Eizenman and Trish Chant-Sehl, and newly elected director Alexandra Addison. The board aims to continue advancing the sport through collaboration with athletes, coaches, and partners.

Wrestling Canada Lutte held its elections in Ottawa, resulting in the election of Bill Bain as a new director at large. He joins returning directors Indhyra Helfrich Linares and David Bush, alongside Chair Brittanee Laverdure, Kim Ma, and Michael Joko. Additionally, WCL members reached a consensus on implementing an integrated national participant database and registration system to improve data consistency and service to participants nationwide.
