Canadian user finds $10,000 worth of crypto mining hardware in basement

A Canadian Reddit user discovered two forgotten cryptocurrency mining rigs stored in a basement. The hardware includes 12 Zotac RTX 3070 graphics cards, which were valued at over $600 each during their peak in 2022.

The rigs, which had been idle since the collapse of Ethereum mining and a hardware failure, feature MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Plus motherboards, DDR4 memory, 120 GB SSDs, and 1000-watt Rosewill power supplies. The total estimated value of the GPUs at their 2022 market price was approximately $10,000.
