Canal+ reports 37.5% revenue growth following MultiChoice acquisition
Canal+ has reported a 37.5% increase in consolidated revenue for the first nine months of 2026, reaching €6.412 billion. This significant growth is primarily attributed to the increased scale following the acquisition of MultiChoice.
Excluding MultiChoice, group revenue rose 1.3% to €4.646 billion, supported by momentum in French-speaking Africa and content production through StudioCanal. In contrast, revenue in Europe declined by 1.4% to €3.363 billion, impacted by the termination of the C8 channel, the end of DAZN distribution in France, and the divestment of the DTH subscriber base in Hungary.
Revenue in the Africa and Asia region more than tripled to €2.604 billion due to the MultiChoice acquisition. However, MultiChoice's own revenue saw a 3.0% decline on a constant currency and scope basis, driven by falling subscriptions in South Africa. The group confirmed it remains on track to meet its annual guidance for 2026.
