Canal+ to rebrand Skylink in Czech and Slovak markets

The French media group Canal+ has announced a major rebranding of its operations in the Czech and Slovak markets. The Skylink brand, which has provided satellite and internet television since 2007, will be replaced by the Canal+ name.

Starting October 22, the group will integrate its satellite and internet television, live broadcasting, and premium streaming services under a single brand identity. As part of this transition, four new television channels will be launched: Canal+ (focusing on original productions, films, and sports), Canal+ Drama, Canal+ Crime, and Canal+ Classics. The existing Canal+ Action channel will also remain part of the portfolio. The Canal+ Sport channel will continue to broadcast major events including the Premier League, Barclays Women’s Super League, WTA tennis, padel, and rugby.

For existing customers, the transition will not affect service functionality. Subscriptions will continue as usual without the need for equipment changes or new registration processes.
