Canale 5 ratings climb in May 2026 on 'La Ruota della Fortuna' boost

In May 2026 Italy's Mediaset flagship Canale 5 recorded a 20.67% share in the 20.30‑22.30 primetime slot, up 7.06 percentage points from a year earlier, while rival Rai 1 fell to 20.47%, down 1.72 points. Over the full day the channel posted an 18.44% average share, gaining more than two points on the previous year.

Ahead of the summer schedule, Canale 5 will launch a new edition of the karaoke show on 8 and 10 June. Hosted by Michelle Hunziker, “Super Karaoke” features audience singers and guest performances by Italian artists such as Sal Da Vinci, Raf and Al Bano, with the winner chosen by live voters.
