Canale 5 to premiere ‘Erica – Una detective per caso’ in September

The Italian television series ‘Erica – Una detective per caso’ is scheduled to premiere on Canale 5 on September 2, 2026. The production is a co-production between RTI and 7Verticale, serving as an Italian adaptation of the French series ‘Erica’, which was inspired by the novels of Swedish author Camilla Läckberg.

Starring Vanessa Incontrada as Erica Magliani, a successful thriller writer facing a personal and creative crisis, the story follows her return to her hometown of Piombino, Tuscany. Her return leads her to investigate unexplained mysteries in real life. The series also features Francesco Scianna as Commissioner Leonardo Carrese, with whom Erica develops a complex relationship. The show is directed by Ciro D’Emilio and is expected to air during prime time throughout early September.
