Cananea government addresses ISAF public account audit findings

The administration stated it is currently within the legal timeframe to present complementary documentation and clarify findings.

The municipality clarified that the audit observations do not stem from corruption or embezzlement, but rather from administrative interpretations of social and labor decisions. Specifically, the government noted that one observation involves the regularization of employee salaries registered with ISSSTESON to correct historical discrepancies that impacted retirement funds. Another point of observation concerns discount schemes and facilities provided to local merchants and small entrepreneurs.
