Canarian political groups mark National Flag Day with new offices and manifestos

On the occasion of the Canary Islands National Flag Day, various political organizations in the archipelago held commemorative events. Drago Canarias inaugurated two new headquarters, named ‘El Terrero de Drago Canarias’, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The organization stated these spaces are intended to serve as meeting points for militants and the general population to discuss issues affecting life in the islands.

In Fuerteventura, Asamblea Majorera–Coalición Canaria (AM-CC) held a commemoration featuring the reading of a manifesto. Senate candidate Nuria Cabrera emphasized the importance of Canarian identity and the archipelago's history of migration. Cabrera advocated for an inclusive approach to those arriving in the islands, stating that Canarias should be able to welcome people regardless of whether they arrive ‘by plane or by boat’ (en avión o en patera).
