Canary Islands Industry Day to showcase vocational trades to students
The Canary Islands Industry Day will take place on October 7 at the Tenerife Fairgrounds, aiming to connect young talent with the industrial sector. Approximately 300 students from ten educational centers across the islands will participate in the event to learn about various industrial trades through practical activities, team challenges, and direct interaction with professionals.
Organized by Femete and Femepa as part of the ‘Apuesta por la Industria Legal’ project, the initiative is subsidized by the Canary Islands Government's Ministry of Economy, Industry, Commerce, and Self-Employed Workers. The event is also supported by the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife and Binter.
Designed to help 15 and 16-year-old students decide on their future training, the day features an ‘industrial passport’ system where students rotate through different technical departments and complete challenges to earn stamps. The institutional opening is expected to include an intervention by Manuel Domínguez, Vice President of the Government and Minister of Economy, Industry, Commerce, and Self-Employed Workers.
