Canary Islands Junior Mental Sports Selection reaches 302 medals

The Canary Islands Junior Mental Sports Selection has returned to La Palma following the 30th edition of the Mind Sports Olympiad (MSO) held in London. The team's recent performance has brought their total medal count to 302 since 2016.

The expedition included players Mario, Borja Plasencia Pérez, and Fabián Pérez Hernández, led by captain Verónica Candelaria Sánchez. During the nine-day competition, the participants secured various gold, silver, and bronze medals in disciplines such as Azul, Blokus, Battle Sheep, Perudo, Mastermind, and 7 Wonders, among others.

Individual achievements were notable, particularly for Mario, who has participated in the MSO since 2018 and has accumulated 41 medals in international competitions, including being recognized twice as the world's best strategy games player.
