Canary Islands Music Awards open registration for 8th edition

The Association of the Canary Islands Music Awards and La Radio Canaria have opened the registration period for the 8th edition of the Canary Islands Music Awards. Applications are being accepted until September 26 for works published between January 1 and December 31, 2025.

The awards aim to promote and highlight musical creation in the Canary Islands, recognizing artists, works, and professionals across the industry. There are 15 categories in total, including Best Song of the Year, Best Pop Album, Best Rock Album, Best Jazz and Jazz Fusion Album, Best Urban Music Album, Best Roots Music Album, Best Breakthrough Artist, Best Design, Best Music Video, Best Recording Studio, Best Canary Musical Programming, Best Sound Technician, Best Dissemination Work, Best Classical Music Work, and a Lifetime Achievement Award.

A gala to present the winners will be held in December at a location to be determined. The jury will consist of previous winners and a group of music industry professionals from the region to ensure transparency and equity.
