Canary Islands Parliament to debate healthcare and climate adaptation

The Socialist Parliamentary Group (PSOE) has introduced several initiatives to the Plenary of the Parliament of the Canary Islands for debate on Tuesday and Wednesday. Key topics include the current state of healthcare waiting lists and the ongoing doctors' strike within the islands.

Additional inquiries will address the climate adaptation of educational centers throughout the archipelago. The group also plans to question the regional government regarding the 2027 Budget, household vulnerability, and pending salary increases for public university staff.

Furthermore, the PSOE will seek information from the Health Department regarding workload issues, occupational risks, and increased aggression reported at the University Hospital of the Canary Islands. The session will also cover safety and health concerns in schools following union demands for official resignations.
