Canary Islands travel highlights: Santa Brígida and Morro Jable

The Canary Islands offer diverse landscapes ranging from volcanic interiors to tropical-style beaches. In Gran Canaria, the village of Santa Brígida serves as a quiet retreat characterized by green landscapes, volcanic ash, and traditional architecture. The area is home to the Bandama Caldera, a natural monument featuring a volcanic crater one kilometer in diameter and 200 meters deep.

In Fuerteventura, Morro Jable provides a coastal alternative with turquoise waters and golden sands. The Morro Jable beach, also known as El Matorral or Jandía, extends 4.3 kilometers and is noted for its suitability for water sports like kitesurfing and windsurfing. The area also features a 59-meter lighthouse and the Saladar de Jandía, a protected space for observing marine birds.
