Canberra Raiders defeat North Queensland Cowboys 50-30

The Canberra Raiders secured a dominant 50-30 victory over the North Queensland Cowboys in Townsville. The match was highlighted by a historic performance from Raiders halfback Coby Black, who scored 26 points through two tries and nine successful goals. Black’s debut marks the most points scored by a player in their first premiership game in 118 years.

The match was also marked by disciplinary issues for the Cowboys. Co-captain Reuben Cotter was sin-binned and put on report following a high hit on Josh Papalii, who was playing in his 342nd and final NRL match for Canberra.
