The Canberra Raiders are restructuring their roster for the 2027 season following an 11th-place finish in 2026. The team struggled with consistency, losing to every side in the top six and facing challenges in integrating a new halves pairing of Ethan Sanders and Ethan Strange.

To strengthen their forward pack, the Raiders have reportedly secured a two-year deal for Brisbane Broncos forward Jaiyden Hunt. The 28-year-old is expected to join Canberra on a deal worth approximately $350,000. Hunt’s arrival follows the departures of veteran Josh Papalii, Corey Horsburgh, and Morgan Smithies, as coach Ricky Stuart works to rebuild the team’s engine room.
