Canberra sports teams secure finals berths and championship matchups

Canberra-based sports teams are heading into major championship and finals stages. In the NRLW, the Canberra Raiders secured their first finals appearance following a 24-10 upset victory against the Wests Tigers at Leichhardt Oval. The Raiders' win, fueled by tries from Mackenzie Wiki, Leianne Tufuga, and Isabella Waterman, guaranteed them a top-six finish.

In the NPL Women’s competition, Canberra Croatia and Belconnen United are set to face off in the Grand Finals. The First Grade decider will take place at McKellar Park, featuring a matchup between two heavyweights of the regular season. Additionally, the NPL Women’s Reserves Grand Final will see Belconnen United attempt to defend their title against Canberra Croatia.
