Cancer early detection urged by Sabrina Sato and US research

Brazilian TV host Sabrina Sato used her social‑media platforms to stress the importance of early cancer diagnosis after her father was hospitalized with pancreatic cancer. In videos with oncologist Fernando Maluf, she highlighted recommended screenings such as mammography, breast ultrasound, Pap smears from age 40, colonoscopy from age 45, rectal exams and chest CT, and urged a healthy lifestyle, regular exercise and vaccinations.

A separate study by researchers at the University of Washington School of Medicine linked the rise of cancer in people under 50 to accelerated biological aging. The research, cited by oncologist Ron Jachimowicz, found a growing gap between chronological and biological age in younger patients, a pattern observed in the United States and Germany. The findings suggest that faster cellular aging may increase early‑onset cancer risk, underscoring the need for earlier screening and preventive measures.
