In Turkey, a new Cancer Early Diagnosis, Screening and Training Center (KETEM) screening point has opened at the Kuşadası State Hospital. Located within the Obstetrics and Gynecology Polyclinic, the unit offers free cancer screening services to the public to facilitate early detection and improve treatment success rates.
In Northern Cyprus, the Cancer Patients Assistance Association (KHYD) reported providing approximately 9 million TL in annual support to patients. Marking its 33rd anniversary, Association President Ayşe Kanlıada detailed how the organization provides medical supplies, including medication, wigs, silicone breast prostheses, and lymph edema corsets. The association also assists with transportation, medical expenses for overseas check-ups, and psychological support for patients.
