Cancer support services expand in Orthez and Bordeaux

Support services for cancer patients are expanding in France through new local initiatives and specialized workshops. In Orthez, La Ligue contre le cancer has opened a new branch in a facility provided by a local charity. This center offers various supportive care services, including dietary advice, socio-esthetics, psychological support, mindfulness meditation, and cognitive remediation, to help patients reintegrate into normal life.

In Bordeaux, the association Belle & Bien celebrated its 25th anniversary by organizing aesthetic supportive care workshops at the Institut Bergonié. These sessions focus on helping women facing breast cancer regain a sense of control and confidence through beauty treatments, such as nail and eyebrow care, as they navigate the physical changes caused by the disease and its treatments.
