Cancer Survivors' 715‑km Cycling Journey from Menton to Perpignan

From 19 September to 3 October 2026, a peloton of thirty patients who are either battling cancer or in remission will ride a 715‑kilometre route across six French departments, starting in Menton and finishing in Perpignan. The ride, organized by the International Cancer Institute Confederation (ICIC), will be supported by caregivers, volunteers and a medical team.

The aim is to demonstrate how physical activity can aid recovery and to strengthen bonds among patients, families and health professionals. Participants may join the full trek or selected stages, and the event remains open for additional cyclists and logistical helpers.

The initiative highlights the role of sport in restoring dignity, confidence and energy after serious illness, while promoting a supportive community throughout the Mediterranean‑coastal route.
