Latin America reports surge in violent crimes and missing persons

Various violent incidents and missing persons reports have been recorded across Latin America. In Chile, the PDI Antisecuestros Metropolitana arrested two Venezuelan nationals, including a 17-year-old, for the kidnapping of a Peruvian citizen in Providencia. The teenager reportedly played a crucial role in identifying the victim.

In Mexico, several incidents were reported: an 8-year-old girl remains missing in Tuxtla Gutiérrez; a 13-year-old student was located alive in Mexico City; and a 21-year-old student was found dead in Edomex. Additionally, shootings occurred in Cancún, Cuautla, and Mexicali, while a fire destroyed a home in Ciudad Juárez.

In Colombia, a young man was killed in a shooting at a billiard hall in Manaure. In Peru, a Venezuelan national confessed to a contract killing of journalist Susy Aponte Polo. In Honduras, two men were murdered inside a workshop in El Progreso.
