Cancún authorities investigate armed robbery at tortilla shop

Authorities in Cancún are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday night at a business combining a tortilla shop and grocery store in Supermanzana 102. Surveillance footage shows two individuals arriving on a motorcycle; one suspect entered the premises while the other remained outside to monitor the surroundings.

The intruder reportedly used a firearm to intimidate staff, jumping over the counter to seize cash from the register and other valuable items. During the incident, the cashier fled the establishment to seek safety and assistance. The suspects escaped on the motorcycle before law enforcement arrived.

Investigators are looking into whether this incident is linked to a similar robbery involving armed individuals at a tortilla shop in Supermanzana 76. The similarity in the targets and the operational methods used by the perpetrators has led authorities to consider the possibility of a connection between the two crimes.
