Jonathan Succar Pita dies in Cancún car accident

Jonathan Succar Pita, son of the late businessman Jean Succar Kuri, died following a high-speed vehicle accident in the Hotel Zone of Cancún on the night of August 14. The crash occurred on Boulevard Kukulcán, where a black Cadillac Escalade reportedly lost control and collided with a tourist transport vehicle from the company Flex.

The accident resulted in two fatalities: Jonathan Succar Pita and another man identified by authorities as J. D. R. R. The Fiscalía General del Estado de Quintana Roo has opened an investigation into the incident under the classification of involuntary manslaughter (homicidio culposo). Preliminary reports suggest that excessive speed may have been a primary factor in the crash.

Jonathan Succar Pita was the son of Jean Succar Kuri, a businessman who died in June 2024 while serving a prison sentence for child pornography and exploitation. Following the news, Jonathan’s brother, Jerry Succar, shared an emotional tribute on social media, describing his brother as his best friend and lifelong companion.
