Cancún dentist Tomás Medina fatally shot in parking lot

A Cuban dentist, Tomás Medina, was fatally shot in the parking lot of Plaza Galerías in downtown Cancún on Saturday afternoon. Medina, who owned the DentalMed clinic, was unloading items from his white Seat Ibiza when two armed individuals on a motorcycle approached and fired a shot to his head at close range.

Emergency services, including the Municipal Police and paramedics from ERUM, responded to the scene, but Medina was pronounced dead upon arrival. The assailants fled the area on the motorcycle and have not yet been apprehended. The Quintana Roo State Attorney General's Office Homicide Unit has launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators and establish a motive.
