Cancún house fire injures five people including two minors

A house fire in the Los Héroes residential area of Cancún, specifically in Supermanzana 215, resulted in injuries to five people, including two minors and three adults. The incident occurred on a residence on Agustín Melgar Street.

During the emergency, a female police officer rescued two minors from the burning building. Because paramedics had not yet arrived, municipal police used official vehicles to transport the two children and two adults to the Hospital General Jesús Kumate Rodríguez. The officer and a neighbor also required medical attention from the Red Cross after suffering from smoke inhalation and burns during the rescue efforts.

The fire caused significant property damage, destroying furniture and a motorcycle, though firefighters were able to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring homes. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by authorities.
