Brazilian municipalities implement new legislative and fiscal measures

Various municipal legislative and administrative developments are occurring across several Brazilian cities. In Rio Branco, the City Council approved a bill to increase public transport subsidies from R$ 43 million to approximately R$ 70 million to fund fleet improvements such as air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Simultaneously, the council approved a request for information regarding a public civil service exam, though officials stated the process will continue as scheduled. The city is also offering new civil service positions with salaries reaching up to R$ 19,404, and internship opportunities at Chico Mendes Environmental Park.

In São Bernardo, the municipal government received legislative approval for the ‘Tudo em Dia Empresas’ program, which allows businesses to regularize tax debts with significant discounts on interest and penalties. In Recife, the City Council approved a project to declare the writer Ariano Suassuna the ‘Patron of Recife Culture’.

In Rondônia, the Candeias do Jamari City Council published a notice for a new public competition offering 17 vacancies, while State Deputy Ieda Chaves held a meeting with supporters in the same municipality to strengthen her reelection campaign.
