Candidate dies after collapsing during Delhi Police Academy race

A 23-year-old man, identified as Saurabh Kumar, died after collapsing during a race at the Delhi Police Academy in Wazirabad on Monday. Kumar, a resident of the Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh, was participating in the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PEMT).

According to police, Kumar collapsed on the track during the race and received initial medical assistance before being transported by a PCR van to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital. Upon arrival at the emergency department, doctors declared him dead.

The body has been sent to GTB Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Sonia Vihar police station has initiated legal proceedings under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and an investigation is currently underway.
