Canela hosts cultural and gastronomic festivals

The city of Canela is hosting various cultural and gastronomic events. The Estação Campos de Canella is offering free musical performances as part of the “Domingo na Estação” and “Temporada de Inverno” programs. Musical acts include DJ Alan Mino, the band Big Hits, and Percussão do Samba. The programming also features family-oriented activities such as an art makeup station, a literary space for book exchanges, and the distribution of yerba mate.

Additionally, the Associação Comercial e Industrial de Canela (ACIC) has announced the Sabores de Canela 2026 festival. Scheduled for September, the event will feature a central week at Praça João Corrêa from September 2 to September 7, where 12 participating restaurants will offer exclusive street food recipes. Following the central event, the festival will continue through September 30 as a circuit across various local establishments. The festival will also include culinary workshops and competitions, such as a “Chef Mirim” contest for local students.
