Various Italian municipalities launch local social and economic initiatives

Various Italian municipalities are implementing local development and social welfare initiatives. In Montopoli in Val d'Arno, the administration has secured support from the European Social Fund Plus and the Tuscany Region to fund municipal nurseries for the 2026/2027 educational year. This project aims to support early childhood education for up to 73 children, focusing on social inclusion and helping families balance work and care.

In the Vallo di Diano region, the 'Albo Anziani Attivi' project is entering its final phase, featuring a contest for individuals under 35 and women to propose micro-entrepreneurial ideas within the Silver Economy. This initiative seeks to address regional depopulation by creating value and employment centered on the growing senior population.

Other local developments include the inauguration of a new school bus for the Unione Montana Langa Astigiana Val Bormida, the launch of a participatory budget in Agrate Brianza where citizens can decide on €120,000 in investments, and urban planning updates in Borgo Valbelluna.
