Cangas del Narcea children's art exhibit and Baiona painting showcase open in Spain

The Casa de Cultura in Cangas del Narcea is hosting the "Arte y Música del Narcea" exhibition until August 26, featuring works created by local children aged 6 to 12. The project, organized by the municipal council and led by art teacher Lola Canseco and music instructor Maru de la Viuda, encourages participants to reinterpret the town’s cultural heritage, including references to playwright Alejandro Casona, local folklore, and landscape landmarks such as the Virgen del Carmen chapel.

Meanwhile, the Capitanía Marítima in Baiona presents the "As cores de Baiona" exhibition, open to the public free of charge until August 15. The show brings together paintings by veteran artist Claudio Vasconcellos "Caino" and contemporary painter Carlos Padín, both inspired by Baiona’s streets, beaches and maritime scenery. Visitors can view large‑format oils and smaller works during daily opening hours.
