Cangas police arrest individuals for separate violent incidents

Authorities in Cangas, Pontevedra, have arrested two individuals in connection with separate violent incidents.

A 60-year-old man was detained by the Civil Guard following a fatal altercation at an occupied building on Atranco Street. The suspect reportedly engaged in a fight with another man over a stolen bank card. According to officials, the deceased died from injuries sustained during the fight, which involved punches rather than weapons. The building has been the subject of previous investigations regarding illegal drug trafficking.

In a separate incident, a 20-year-old woman was arrested for attempted homicide. Police responded to a fight involving several youths at a local residence on October 17. The woman is accused of attacking a man with a knife, causing multiple wounds. Following the incident, both the victim and the suspect were hospitalized, and the woman was subsequently ordered into prison by the local court.
