Canicattì inaugurates mural honoring Judge Antonino Saetta and son

A mural dedicated to Judge Antonino Saetta and his son Stefano Saetta has been inaugurated at the Verga Institute in Canicattì, Sicily. The duo was killed by the mafia 38 years ago.

The project is part of the regional “Murals of Legality” initiative and marks the conclusion of the “Week of Legality.” Regional Councilor for Territory and Environment Giusi Savarino attended the ceremony, emphasizing that memory serves as a vital tool for building awareness regarding legality and respect for institutions. By placing the artwork within a school, officials aim to entrust younger generations with the responsibility of preserving this historical testimony.
