Canik district in Turkey to provide fiber internet to 20,000 homes
The Canik district of Samsun Province, Turkey, is installing a fiber‑optic network that will serve about 20,000 households. Mayor Ibrahim Sandıkçı said the main‑line work is complete and the project is now moving to individual home connections, adding that roads where the infrastructure was laid have also been renovated. He emphasized the goal of accelerating digitalisation and improving residents’ quality of life, stating, “Canik’te 20 bin hanemizi fiber internetle buluşturuyoruz.” The municipality plans further initiatives to meet citizens’ needs and expand the region’s technology infrastructure.
