Canik launches pickleball project to promote sports and combat addiction

The Canik District Governorate in Samsun has launched a new pickleball project aimed at promoting a culture of sports and combating addiction. The initiative focuses on encouraging children, youth, and adults to engage in active lifestyles.

As part of the project, training sessions were provided to public personnel and teachers at the Canik Atatürk Indoor Sports Hall. Canik District Governor Şeref Aydın stated that the project aims to help citizens spend their free time more productively through healthy activities. To support the expansion of the sport, suitable playing areas will be established in schools and the gardens of public institutions.

The project is being coordinated by the Canik District Governorate in collaboration with the Samsun Pickleball Association, with material support from the Samsun Governor's Office Investment Monitoring and Coordination Presidency and financial support from the Ministry of Interior.
