Canik Municipality launches youth unity and technology project

Canik Municipality has launched a new awareness program titled ‘From Canik to Çanakkale, From Çanakkale to Mesopotamia: A Journey of Unity and Brotherhood.’ The initiative aims to strengthen the cultural and historical memory of local youth while fostering social bonds across different regions of Turkey.

Under the project, high school students from the Canik district will visit Çanakkale, as well as various cities in the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions. The itinerary includes guided tours of historical sites and visits to technology production centers, science centers, and high-technology innovation workshops to provide both technical and cultural experiences.

A key component of the program is the ‘Youth Meetings,’ where students from different cities will gather to share knowledge, experiences, and projects. Canik Mayor İbrahim Sandıkçı stated that the project is designed to contribute to the spirit of national unity and brotherhood, helping to pass on a shared cultural heritage to future generations.
