Canik Municipality provides school supplies to all first-grade students

The Canik Municipality in Samsun has distributed backpack and stationery sets to all first-grade primary school students in the district for the 2026-2027 academic year. A ceremony was held at Canik İnönü Primary School to deliver the sets, which were prepared separately for boys and girls in compliance with Ministry of Trade regulations.

During the event, Mayor İbrahim Sandıkçı emphasized that education is a responsibility shared by all state stakeholders, not just the Ministry. He noted that the municipality has consistently supported national education throughout his 7.5-year tenure. Sandıkçı also referenced OECD data, highlighting improvements in Turkey's average scores in reading, science, and mathematics.
