Canik Municipality starts 'Enerji Avcıları' youth energy education program

The Canik Municipality in Samsun, Turkey, together with the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK), has launched the "Enerji Avcıları; Bir Sürdürülebilirlik Hikâyesi" project. The initiative provides practical training for young people on energy efficiency, zero‑waste practices and environmental health, including visits to energy plants and AI‑supported technology workshops.

Mayor İbrahim Sandıkçı said the program aims to cultivate a generation that is aware of nature and capable of reducing carbon footprints through hands‑on projects. He added that further similar projects will be introduced in the future.
